NRO: SC sets up monitoring cell under Justice Rabban

ISLAMABAD: The Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has set up at the Supreme Court a monitoring cell headed by Justice Ghulam Rabbani to oversee the hearing of cases restored following scrapping of NRO.

According to a SC announcement, the chief justice of high courts of the four provinces have also set up monitoring cells in line with the 16th December verdict of the apex court.

Qazi Sajid has been made the Coordinator of the monitoring cell at SC.

The announcement said that the monitoring cells at high courts of four provinces will be headed by; Chief Justice Khawaja Sharif at LHC; Justice Sarmad Jalal Usmani at SHC; Chief Justice Faiz Essa at Balochistan and; Chief Justice Aijaz Afzal at PHC.
